The Sound of Silence

Hello silence, my old friend,
I’ve come to feel your grace again.
Beneath the stillness where the spirit waits,
A sacred truth reverberates,
And the silence, speaks a voice beyond the veil,
Soft and frail—the sound of silence.
In restless dreams, my mind did race,
Through shadowed paths, I lost my place.
But in the void, a beacon softly burned,
Its gentle light of love was where I turned,
And the silence, sang a hymn of endless peace,
A sweet release—the sound of silence.
The sages knew, but spoke so few,
The words they said still echo true:
“The quiet pulse of life will guide your soul,
No tongue of man can make the meaning whole.
For the silence holds the wisdom of the One,
The timeless Sun”—the sound of silence.
And in the calm, I saw the flame,
That burns beyond both time and name.
It did not falter, did not flicker out,
It cast away my fear and all my doubt,
And the stillness crowned the sky with endless light,
Pure and bright—the sound of silence.
The words of truth are carved in stone,
But silence sings what’s never known.
The restless voices of the world may cry,
Yet through the noise, the self must surely die,
To be reborn within the breathless, endless glow
And finally know—the sound of silence.
