Let Food be thy Medicine

“Let food be thy medicine!” a wise man once said,

But with profits to be had, the industry’s in bed,

With creatures whose schemes keep the masses misled,

Their goal: to ensure we’re all sick and well-fed.

They wrap poison in boxes with colors so bright,

Labeling toxins as treats, sweets, and delights.

Addictions are planted with a sugary stake,

While health fades away ‘cuz we all took the cake.

Nature’s pharmacy stands in open air,

With fruits on the branches and roots to repair.

Plants cleanse the body, and seeds help it grow,

But this truth is buried under industry’s green glow.

Golden arches promise convenience and speed,

While the soil, once sacred, grows profit’s greed.

Fast food is a race, no doubt, to the grave,

Lest we all can heed these words meant to save.

Your cells are rebuilt by the choices you make,

Each bite is a tool when our lives are at stake.

Will you nourish the temple, or let it decay?

The power is yours, starting today.

Let the truth shine through the lies that they’ve spread:

Good food heals the body, where pills have misled.

So choose wisely, may this be your life’s interlude:

Let food be thy medicine, and medicine thy food.
